Michael Gribov, M.A.
Executive Vice President of Strategy and Development
Michael Gribov has over 10 years of experience in strategic planning, organizational management, resource development, and public relations in nonprofit organizations. His career there began when he transitioned from equity research to the American Education Foundation because he saw an urgent need to strengthen educational institutions. As a result, he was one of the first to help low income schools get wired for the 21st century through a $2b federal program.
As an organizational development advisor, Michael works with nonprofit leaders, including DC charter schools, to help them enhance their impact, develop mission-focused messaging and promote their organizations among key stakeholders. His hands-on experience to plan, implement and scale initiatives dedicated to effecting change has given him critical technical skills and foresight into the personal and political challenges that come with organizational growth. Michael has also served in the government as a Presidential Management Fellow at the State Department, committee staffer at the US House of Representatives, and directed a parliamentary forum at the Knesset. Michael studied economics at the University of Cambridge, holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations from Georgetown University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Marketing from Miami University of Ohio. He lives with his wife Raquela, who comes from an education and PR background, together with their daughter Eden in Virginia.
